a member of the SEC Practice Section of the AICPA, PKF is required to
undergo a triennial review of its professional practice by its peers.

Curt J. Welker, CPA, Director of Taxation

Mr.
Welker began his public accounting career in 1982,
after having served as an assistant controller, and later Chief Financial
Officer for international trading firms, as well as four and a half years
with a Big Five CPA firm. His areas of tax specialization include real
estate, hospitality, construction, manufacturing, automobile dealerships,
individual taxation, including estate tax planning, partnership taxation
and corporate tax planning.
Mr. Welker, a San Diego native, graduated from
San Diego State University with honors after having attended Claremont
McKenna College. Mr. Welker also did his graduate work in taxation at San
Diego State University. He is a member of the California Society of
Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified
Public Accountants. He is frequently quoted on accounting and tax
matters in local and national publications.
Mr. Welker is married with
three children and lives in the Carmel Valley area. He enjoys snow skiing,
surfing, weight training and participating in youth sports programs.

Robert
Sporl, CPA, Director of Audit
|
Mr.
Sporl began his career in public accounting in 1988 after serving as
product manager for a small manufacturing entity. His specific areas of
emphasis are employee benefit plans, Securities & Exchange
registrants, manufacturing and broker/dealers. In addition, Mr. Sporl has
extensive auditing experience in dealing with credit unions and other
financial institutions, construction, real estate, employee owned
companies, professional service corporations, hospitality industry and
power generation facilities.
Mr. Sporl has had extensive auditing
experience in many different industries and currently serves as the audit
director on all of the audits conducted by PKF - San Diego. He is also a
member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants and the
American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He holds a
Bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of San Diego.
Mr.
Sporl and his wife have three children and reside in La Costa. He is a
softball player, an avid golfer and frequently coaches his children's

Christine
D. Skoczek, CPA/PFS, Tax Consultant

Ms.
Skoczek began her public accounting career in 1981 with a Big Four CPA
firm. In addition to her public accounting experience, she
previously managed several accounting departments for a Fortune 500
company, and a real estate investment portfolio for a national law firm.
Her extensive tax experience includes working closely with individuals and
small businesses.
Ms.
Skoczek graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor of
Science in Accounting and a Masters of Science in Financial and Tax
Planning. She is a member of the California Society of Certified
Public Accountants, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants,
and the Financial Planning Association.
Ms.
Skoczek lives in the Rancho San Diego area with her husband. They
have two married sons and one grandchild. She enjoys reading,
